Based on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the establishment of Phoenix School is another big move of BNU Zhuhai to implement its strategic plan of global development, deepen and broaden international exchange and cooperation in the field of education and humanities, and build a new highland of opening up education to the world.

The orientation of Phoenix School is to promote the development of international education of BNU and to train high-level talents with a global vision. Insisting on the principles of carrying on the fine tradition of Beijing Normal University, enhancing cultural exchanges, committing to the cultivation of talents and promoting international education, Phoenix School aims to integrate high-quality global education resources, build a faculty with global competence and form an all-round, wide-ranging and multi-level educational platform.

The main running characteristics of Phoenix School are as follows:

1. An International Education Platform. With rich educational resources, Phoenix School proactively collaborates with universities abroad in developing international cooperation programs, introducing high-quality courses through credit transfer and dual-degree programs. Reflecting the characteristic specialties of Beijing Normal University, Phoenix School offers special professional courses conforming with the demand of the international education market in a rapidly changing context of international higher education. Also in cooperation with world-class universities, some high-quality international education projects will be fully planned, designed, developed, and operated.

2. Featured Dual-Degree Programs. To give full play to the core competitiveness of BNU's discipline advantages, and select outstanding undergraduate students, Phoenix School will develop courses of Professional Dual Degree in specialty into the new highlight of the undergraduate majors and students' employment after graduation in Zhuhai Campus.

3. Teacher Education Centre. To open up the international vision and train future leaders and educators in the field of Chinese education, Phoenix School develops training programs in Hong Kong and Macao for realizing the educational integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and to accelerate Hong Kong and Macao’s integration into the overall development of the country.

4. Phoenix Language Village.
