He said BIBS looks forward to building complementary partnerships with Sofia University in joint talent cultivation, curriculum co-development, and academic exchanges.
Dr. Carol Humphreys expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and introduced Sofia University’s educational features, disciplinary strengths, and achievements in international cooperation. During the meeting, the two sides discussed multi-level cooperation. At the undergraduate level, both sides intend to explore dual-degree programs such as the “3+1” and “4+0” models as well as credit recognition and joint curriculum development. They also discussed the establishment of an integrated bachelor’s-to-master’s pathway to help students progress efficiently to graduate study and enrich their international learning experience. In addition, the two sides examined the possibility of jointly cultivating Doctor of Business Administration students by building a high-level education platform that integrates academic learning with business practice. They also exchanged views on operational details, including blended teaching modes, faculty recruitment, and collaborative management mechanisms between the two universities, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of future cooperation.

The visit deepened mutual understanding between the two universities and reflected their consensus on advancing internationalized education and collaboratively cultivating interdisciplinary talents. Both sides will further expand collaboration areas, steadily advance collaborative programs based on complementary strengths, and jointly write a new chapter in educational exchanges between Chinese and American universities.
