BNU Zhuhai "Fenghuang Ambassador" Short Video Wins the Excellence Award in the Essay & Short-Video Competition

Recently, the 5th "My Beautiful Encounter with China" Essay & Short-video Competition, held by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchanges, Ministry of Education, has come to a successful end. Carefully planned, produced, and submitted by the International Office of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai (BNU Zhuhai), the "Fenghuang Ambassador" short video depicting the Sports Stadium, which was presented by Pakistani student Imran Khan, won the Excellence Award in the competition for its novel theme and outstanding filming effects.

"Fenghuang Ambassador" short videos are one part of the serial activities in the "Fenghuang Ambassador" project held by the International Office. From the perspective of international students from different countries, they introduced their favourite sports venues and service facilities on campus through short videos.

In the short videos, the unique charm of the "Valley University" is exhibited multi-dimensionally by showcasing the beautiful campus and sharing stories of international students' studies and daily life, which enables the audience to experience international students' study and life at BNU Zhuhai and learn about their interesting stories.

"My Beautiful Encounter with China" Essay & Short-video Competition is hosted by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Ministry of Education and organized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchanges, Ministry of Education, aiming to promote cultural exchanges among young people of different countries, exhibit images of these international students and discover their stories in China.

"The year 2021 marks its fifth competition. With the theme of "My campus" this year, the competition encourages international students to share what they have seen and experienced during their studying, living or traveling in China, to tell touching stories that reflect their ties with China and Chinese people, and to express love and affection towards them. The competition received over 400 short videos from over 70 domestic colleges and universities or directly from student individuals. After careful selection by experts, 55 excellent works were awarded.
