BNU Zhuhai 2026 Sports Meet Successfully Held

The 2026 Sports Meet of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai (BNU Zhuhai) kicked off with a grand ceremony at the campus stadium, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a day of competition and celebration.

The opening ceremony included a flag-raising ceremony and a vibrant parade of student and faculty teams. International students joined the march with enthusiasm, highlighting the university’s diverse and inclusive community.

Performances such as dragon and lion dances added energy to the event and were warmly received by the audience.

This year’s event featured 90 competitions across track and field, ball games, and fitness challenges. A total of 1,791 participants competed in the meet, supported by referees, volunteers, and campus departments.

International students delivered strong performances in multiple events. Ayoub Zairi,  a Moroccan student, won the men’s 100-meter final. After the race, he shared: “The atmosphere was incredible. I made new friends here, and I think this kind of event helps students discover their potential.”

Fun activities such as obstacle relays and shooting contests added to the lively atmosphere.

Students were seen cheering, celebrating, and interacting across cultures, reflecting the spirit of friendship and participation.

The Sports Meet concluded with a closing ceremony in the afternoon. Huitong College won the undergraduate team championship, while the Graduate Student Management Service Center took first place in the graduate category.

The annual Sports Meet continues to promote health, teamwork, and cross-cultural exchange at BNU Zhuhai. As many participants noted, sports are not only about results, but also about growth, connection, and shared experiences.
