Meeting on Foreign Affairs Work and Traditional Culture Experience Event of Dragon Boat Festival Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 16, when the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival approaches, a meeting on foreign affairs work and cultural experience eventthemed "HavingFun with Dragon Boat Festival" was held by the International Office and Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs at Li Shen Xuan.The event was to promote teambuilding of foreign affairs work, improvethe management and service concerning international scholars and studentsat BNU Zhuhai, as well as showing the cultural charm of the thousand-year-old festival. More than 40 foreign affairs staff, international scholars and scholars from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwanas well as international student representatives gathered together to celebrate and have fun with the Dragon Boat Festival.

At the meeting,the participants carried out in-depth exchanges and discussion on the frontline foreign affairs work.It strengthened communication and connection between the International Office and all the schools, colleges, and research institutesat BNU Zhuhai, which solved the urgent anddifficult problems encountered in the work, and alsoimproved the foreign affairsservice, and helpedto promote the internationalization of thecampus

The meeting was followed by thecelebration activities of Dragon Boat Festival. By integrating the cultural elements of the festival, this event carefully devised a series of interestingactivities: dotting the dragon boat eyes, dragon boat relay race, acting and guessing, makingcolorful bracelets and sachets, and tasting the traditional festival foods. Every oneengaged themselves in these activities and had a lot of fun. They had a special experience of the traditional Chinese festival.

This event not only provides an opportunity for communication and exchangebetween the foreign affairs staff from different units of the university, but also increases the understanding of traditional Chinese festival culture for international as well as Chinese scholars and students, enhancing their sense of cultural identity and sense of belonging, and contributing to the construction of an internationalized campus.
